Million Dollar Golf Shot

The hardest golf shot in the world. The golfer needs to hit a shot from the top of a mountain in South Africa, over the forest, onto a green, which is 400m below. Anyone who makes the shot wins $1 million as the prize. The challenge has been given to the world’s best golfers and anyone else who thinks they have what it takes to make the shot.

The Extreme 19th hols is located at the Legend Golf and Safari Resort at Entabeni in the Limpopo province in South Africa. Off the tee the ball travels for 30 seconds until it reaches the green. And to make this last hole a bit more exciting you can’t take a golf cart straight down…you’ll have to hop into a helicopter to reach the spot. Open champion Padraig Harrigton said that this is the type of innovation and excitement we need to get more people playing golf. Double Open champion Padraig Harrington and fellow pro Raphael Jacquelin have managed to hit the green, but couldn’t get the hole in one. Check out the following clip after the jump.
